Infant Found Alone In Driveway

State police say two people were arrested after their six-week old infant was found unattended in a Rowan County driveway. Troopers say they were called just before noon to a home on Freestone Road in Morehead.

State police say they could not make contact with the baby’s parents.

According to troopers, the infant was taken to St. Claire Medical Center.

State police say the child’s parents, 31-year-old Carlin R. Engelbrecht 21-year-old Jessie M. Stacy, came to the hospital and were arrested.

Investigators say the infant was treated and released into the protective custody of Rowan County Department of Community Based Services.
