Fire Damages A Madison County Home

In Madison County an early morning fire has caused significant damage to a house on Red Lick Road.

The fire started at about 9:30 this morning and fire officials are reporting a faulty laptop computer is the blame.

A woman was home at the time of the blaze and was awaken by a smoke detector. She was able to safely escape by exiting through a window.

The family has lived in the house for 20 years and this is the second fire at that addres. The first fire occurred about ten years ago.
