Lexington Fire Hospitalizes Two

In Lexington a vacant building used by homeless citizens was the scene of a fire last night that sent two people to the hospital.

Firefighters were able to wake and remove the two from the burning building, their condition is unknown.

The fire broke out just before 11pm at the former Henry M. Stevens Roofing Company on Nelms Avenue off of South Broadway.

Crews say they checked out the homeless people who live at the building after the fire. They refused medical treatment.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
