Madison CSEPP Employee Charged With Forgery And Theft

The Finance Officer for Madison County CSEPP is now facing theft and forgery charges.

Yesterday Kentucky State Police arrested Tamara Lynne Phelps, 54, with 60 counts of first degree forgery and one count of theft by unlawful taking over $10,000. Police allege that between June 2014 and April 2015 she forged purchase orders and reimbursements totaling $33,900.

The investigation started after Madison County EMA contacted KSP asking for an investigation into some missing property.

The property that she allegedly obtained included electronic dvices, rewsiential items and auto repairs.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Detective Michael Keeton.
