Electric & Gas Rates To Increase

If you’re a Kentucky Utilities customer, your bill will go up July 1, 2015.  The Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC) signed-off on an agreement that allows K-U to raise rates beginning July 1.

K-U says a customer using 1,200 kilowatts per month will see an increase of about $9.00.  People getting natural gas from Louisville Gas & Electric, will pay an average of $1.23 more per month, according to the company.

The two companies say the increases are necessary in order to pay for various investments.
