2 Arrested In Richmond Drug Raid

Tuesday Richmond Police charged Ella M. Cain, 33, and Chad McCallister, 40, both of Francis Street, for drug offenses following a search of their residence.

RPD Bike Patrol officers executed a search warrant at the residence of Cain and McCallister in furtherance of a drug related investigation. During the course of the search, officers discovered approximately 50 grams of heroin, a small baggie of methamphetamine, a Suboxone strip, an oxycodone pill, five gabapentin pills, in excess of $600.00 in cash, a large number of syringes, straws, spoons, baggies, a scale, a marijuana grinder, and other drug trafficking and use paraphernalia.

In addition, officers found three juveniles living in what was determined to be an unsafe environment. Children’s Protective Services was contacted and the children were released to a responsible adult relative.

Cain and McCallister were lodged in the MCDC, charged for the following offenses:

Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree
Wanton Endangerment 2nd Degree (3 counts)
Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (2 counts)
Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
