Rockcastle County Death Leads To Drug Bust

A death investigation has led police from the Econo-Lodge Motel in Mount Vernon where the body was discovered to a drug bust in Rockcastle County.

Police raided te home of Logan Towery, 68, where they confiscated marijuana, Oxycodone and Xanax pills and Suboxone strips. In addition, Troopers seized $13,180, 14 guns, two cars and a motorcycle. A search of a safety deposit box also resulted in the seizure of $10,000.

Towery is charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance within a 1,000 yards of a school.

The identity of the deceased person or cause of death was not disclosed.
