Mark Elder New EKU Football Coach
According to reports the new head football coach for Eastern Kentucky University will be Tennessee tight ends and special teams coach Mark Elder.
Elder graduated cum laude with a degree in economics. Elder earned his master’s degree in education from Akron in 2001.
Tennessee was 8-4 this year and lead the nation in kickoff return yards. It’s the most regular season wins by Tennessee since 2007.
Elder will take over for former Eastern Kentucky coach Dean Hood, who was fired after eight seasons. Hood was 6-5 this season and 55-38 overall.
