Versailles Murder Appears To Be Random Act

Versailles police say a preliminary investigation points to the Monday morning stabbing of 6 yer old Logan Tipton was a random act allegedly by Ronald Exantus, an RN from Indiana.

Versailles police say they can’t find any connection between Exantus, and the Tipton family.
Police say at about 4 a.m. Monday morning Exantus entered the house through an unlocked door, took a knife from the kitchen and repeatedly stabbed Logan.

“It’s kind a mind boggling, puzzling why Mr. Exantus came to Versailles Kentucky,” said Versailles Police Lt. Michael Fortney. “At this point we can find no correlation between Mr. Exantis and Versailles or even the state of Kentucky for that point.”

Police say Exantus, who is originally from Florida, but lives in Indianapolis, does not appear to have any criminal history.

Funeral arrangements for Logan have been finalized. Viewing for Logan will be Thursday from 2- 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home on Rose Hill. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Woodford Christian Church.
