Madison School Thief Caught

Richmond Police have charged an 18-year old in a theft at Madison Co. High School.

Officers went to the school around 11:20 p.m. after receiving a report of a possible intruder on the second floor.  When they got there a teacher and her spouse told officers they had found Joshua Perrin in the band room.

When searched a backpack Perrin had with him, and found cell phones, calculators, and a large key ring with multiple keys.  Further investigation by officers revealed a total of 64 prescription pills Perrin was carrying with him.

Officers say that while questioning Perrin, they discovered that the items, including the prescription pills, had been stolen from locations in the school.

Perrin was charged with burglary and possession and taken to the Madison Co. Detention Center.
