Richmond Man On Parole For Murder Arrested For Drugs

A Richmond man on parole for a murder conviction is back behind bars after police were called to disturbance at the Manhattan Club late Saturday night.

Police say 38 year old Roneil O. Cornelison of Charlie Norris Road was kicked out of the club for creating a disturbance and later allegedly got into a confrontation in the parking lot.

During the investigation police found 3 baggies of heroin and one baggie of cocaine. During a search of the suspect’s vehicle police also found digital scales and synthetic marijuana.

Cornelison is currently on a parole for a Murder conviction that occurred in the Madison Circuit Court on or about June 17,1998. Cornelison was sentenced to 30 years imprisonment for the crime. On November 3, 2014 Cornelison was paroled and that was scheduled to end on August 9, 2016.

Cornelison was lodged in the MCDC charged with:
Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, two counts
Trafficking in a Controlled Substance within 100 feet of a school
Possession of Synthetic Drugs
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree
Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd Degree
