Multiple Injuries After Firework Mishap At Renfro Valley
A mishap Sunday night at the “Blast In The Valley” fireworks show at Renfro Valley left six people slightly injured.
According to an event spokesperson the force of one of the fireworks caused other nearby fireworks to fall. One of the fireworks shot into the crowd. It could have been much worse, however, officials say a vehicle actually shielded a majority of the crowd from the blast.
Several were treated on-scene by emergency personnel, though four were taken to Rockcastle Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A Tennessee based company called PyroShows is the organizer of the fireworks show
The Fire Marshal’s Office will take over the investigation on Tuesday.
