Madison County Sheriff Mike Coyle is pleased to announce the achievement in accreditation of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, making our office 1 of 17 Sheriff’s Offices out of 120 counties within the Commonwealth of Kentucky to be recognized for excellence in law enforcement.

The Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police Law Enforcement Accreditation Program is one of the most valuable and cost effective ways currently available to law enforcement agencies that wish to enhance overall agency effectiveness and professionalism. Accredited law enforcement agencies benefit from the use of consistent and proven procedures, clearly outlined policies, and efficient practices. In addition, accreditation will serve to create a feeling of confidence, among our Madison County residents, that their sheriff’s office recognizes the significance of establishing and upholding a high standard of effectiveness and professionalism.

The accreditation program provides a means of independent evaluation of agency operations, reduces liability insurance costs, promotes accountability among agency personnel as well as enhancing the reputation and transparency of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Coyle was presented with the Accreditation Achievement Certificate at the Kentucky Sheriff’s Association Conference Banquet in Owensboro KY, on September 15, 2016.

On Tuesday October 18th, 2016 the Madison County Fiscal Court will recognize the Madison County Sheriff’s Office for their Achievement in Accreditation by the Kentucky Association Chiefs of Police.
