Train Car Collision Leaves One Man Injured

A weekend accident has left one man with serious injuries.

It happened on Menelaus Road, just north of Berea, around 2 p.m.  Saturday when a man crossing rail road tracks was struck on the passenger side of his vehicle by a train.

The driver was rushed to UK Medical Center where his condition is listed as critical.

Authorities report there are lights and a bell at that crossing, but there is not a crossing arm.
