Richmond Bank Robber Gets 20 Year Sentence

After about 30 minutes of deliberation Wedneday, a Madison County jury found Eric Noe guilty of a 2015 bank robbery of Chase Bank.

After the morning robbery, Noe headed back to his West Water Street apartment where he quickly changed clothes.

Police recognized the suspect from the bank’s surveillance tapes and were able to quickly track Now down. Officers were able to recover the clothes, a box cutter, and the $5,190 in cash he took from the bank..

Noe never showed a weapon, but kept his hand in his pocket acting as if he was holding a weapon. He did claim to be armed.

Madison Commonwealth’s Attorney David Smith used surveillance tapes and clothes he used in the robbery as well as the cash as evidence. Noe represented himself.

He was sentenced to 20 years in prison and will have to serve 85 percent of the sentence before he is eligible for parole.
