State Officials Investigate Winchester Apartment Fire

The State Fire Marshal and an arson investigator continue to investigate a weekend fire at a Winchester Apartment Complex.

Firefighters were called to the apartments at 250 Oxford Drive shortly before 8 a.m. Sunday.

Firefighters say when they arrived on the scene there was light smoke coming from a top floor apartment. Once they entered the room they say the room was filled with heavy smoke and there were apparently several points of origin to the blaze.

The fire was contained to the one apartment and no injuries were reported.
