Clark County Mother Charged With Endangering Her Children
A Winchester woman is in jail after allegedly trying to suffocate two of her five children.
Police were called to a home on Oliver Street after her nine year old child went to a relative’s home to get help.
Police say they found Esther Johnson, 31, passed out with a one year old child trapped beneath her. Officers say she was covered with urine.
One of the children told officers she tried to suffocate her and the one year old child. She also reportedly hit the children.
The children have been placed with social services.
Johnson is charged with with assault and five counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
She is lodged at the Clark County Detention Center.
