2 Arrested At A Richmond Motel For Drugs

Two women were arrested early Monday morning for drug activity at a local mote

Richmond Police were called to the Bahama Motel where they found Christina Lowery, 27, of McKee, and Hillary Combs, 24, of Salter Road, Richmond, occupying the room with drug paraphernalia in plain sight.

Police say Lowery appeared intoxicated and admitted to using she had useing methamphetamine in a syringe before officers got on scene.

Poice also found papers holding alleged heroin and additional methamphetamine.

Both women were arrested and taken to the Madison County Detention Center.

During the booking procedure, a Deputy Jailer noticed a baggie protruding from Combs. When asked to produce the baggie, she pushed the suspected drugs farther inside herself. She was transported to to Baptist Health Richmond and a search warrant was obtained to retrieve the baggie, that turned out to be heroin.

Lowery was charged with first offense first-degree possession of a controlled substance (heroin), first offense first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), marijuana possession and buying/possessing drug paraphernalia.

Combs was charged with first offense first-degree possession of a controlled substance (heroin), first-degree promoting contraband and tampering with physical evidence.

Both women remain at the Madison County Detention Center.
