Car Hits Mount Sterling Home

A birthday celebration ended abruptly for one man, when he crashed his car into a friend’s home early Tuesday morning.

Police say it happened around 1:00 a.m. on Spring Street, and that following the wreck, the driver ran off.

A passenger in the car, who is a member of the family living in the home, says the driver was dropping him off after celebrating his birthday, when he lost control of his vehicle and ended up slamming into the home.

The house suffered structural damage, but the family says they have shored it up, for now.
