Head-On Collision Claims One

A head-on collision has claimed the life of a McKee man.

According to Kentucky State Police, the driver of a Ford Ranger was traveling on north on US 421 at about

11 p.m., when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a Chevrolet pickup truck killing Jack D. Jones, 55 of McKee.

According to the Jackson County Coroner, Jones was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency crews transported the driver of the Ford Ranger and a passenger to St. Joseph Hospital in Berea with non-life threatening injuries.
