Inmate Captured

State police say an anonymous tip led them to a fugitive who had walked away from Blackburn Correctonal Complex back in April.

Police say a tip came in saying Charles Blanton was driving a 2006 Chevy Impala, and was at the Walmart in Corbin.  When they arrived, police say they saw Blanton in the car, but when they tried to pull him over, he wouldn’t stop.

According to officers, Blanton led them on a chase for about 7 miles before he lost control of the car on Robinson Creek Road and ran it into a ditch.  Police say Blanton continued to run on foot but was captured.
