Tip Leads Richmond Police To Wanted Man

On 11/29/2015, police charged Robert C. Fleming, age 30, Sewickley, PA, for receiving stolen property and illegal possession of a firearm after investigating a tip that he was a wanted person.

At approximately 12:40 A.M., RPD officers received information indicating that Fleming was a fugitive from Pennsylvania and was currently located at a residence on W. Kentucky Avenue. Further checks confirmed that Fleming was wanted in Pennsylvania for robbery and theft and was wanted in Louisiana for a parole violation in connection with a conviction for possessing stolen property.

Officers arrived at the residence in question and took Fleming into custody without incident.

A 9mm handgun was recovered from dresser near where Fleming was found sleeping. It would be determined that the firearm had been stolen from a residence in Danville on 11/15/2015. It was further determined that a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck that Fleming was driving had also been stolen from Danville on 09/26/2015.
