Inmate Charged With Arson In Fire at Detention Center

An inmate has been charged with arson in connection to a fire that broke out at the Rockcastle Co. Detention Center on December 23.
Detectives charged 23-year-old Justin Bishop with arson, along with 19 counts of wanton endangerment.
The Brodhead Fire Department says the fire broke out in the Rockcastle County Detention Center just after 3 a.m.
Some jail employees were taken to the hospital, suffering from smoke inhalation, according to firefighters.
The fire also forced the relocation of 110 inmates. They were taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
