Danville Fire Claims One

A weekend fire in Danville has claimed the life of Justin Baker Young, 62, at his home on Perryville Road.

Crews say a passersby spotted the flames Saturday and alerted 911.

When crews got on the scene, they say worked to put the fire out and while checking the scene, found the victim in a first floor bedroom.

Officials report no firefighters were hurt but they treated a witness who tried to help for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
