Georgetown Police Investigate Officer Involved Shooting

Georgetown Police are investigating an officer involved shooting.

Police say it happened this morning at around 2a.m. this morning during an investigation of a domestic disturbance. Police say the disturbance had moved inside a residence and when officers entered the home, a man identified as Stephen Young allegedly pointed weapon at them. That weapon later turned out to be a pellet gun. Police say the gun looked very realistic.

Young was stable condition at the University of Kentucky Hospital.

No officer was injured.

The incident remains under investigation.
