Special Olympics Rally At The Capitol

Special Olympic officials and athletes gathered at the Capitol Monday to show support of a bill that would make it easier for Kentuckians to make a donation.

A bill introduced by Democratic Rep. Martha Jane King of Lewisburg would add a checkoff box on the state tax return for people with intellectual disabilities as a checkoff box on the Kentucky state tax return form.

The Special Olympics is celebrating 45 years in the state with over 7,000 athletes participating.
