Sexual Abuse, Rape & Sodomy Charges Dropped On Former Madison Teacher

A former Madison Southern High School teacher accused of having sexual contact with a student has pleaded guilty to using an electronic device to solicit a minor.

Brandi Whitaker, 24, a biology teacher, was originally charged with with rape, sexual abuse and sodomy, after allegations surfaced that she had sexual contact with the student twice in the summer of 2015. Those charges were dismissed.

The prosecution is recommending a one year sentence. Formal sentencing is set for January 27, 2017.
