Elderly Woman Dies In Winchester House Fire

An early morning house in Winchester has claimed the life of an 85 year old woman.

Neighbors say they heard an explosion just before 6 a.m. at the home on Navajo Trail .Firefighters say when they arrived at the scene, three-quarters of the home was engulfed in flames. 

The woman reportedly lived with her daughter but was alone at the time of the fire.

The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
