Richmond Woman Facing Multiple Charges After Lying To Police

Richmond Police say Jennifer Baxter, 31, of Raintree Drive, now faces multiple charges after lying to police.

Baxter was arrested Friday on mail theft charges but during her arrest told officers that she did not have any drugs on her person.

During booking, a Madison County Detention Center employee found a baggie holding methamphetamine in her pocket.

She is charged with first offense possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first-degree promoting contraband and mail theft.
