Second Time In A Week Man Jailed For Drugs

One week after being released from jail, Tony Pearson, 51, is back behind bars on the same offenses.

At around 10 p.m. Monday, Kentucky State Police responded to a residence on Old KY 52 in regard to reported drug activity. It was there they made contact with Pearson, who told them he was staying at the home “fixing it up”. During the investigation Pearson gave officers permission to search the residence.

During the search officers found a plastic box with a small amount of methamphetamine. According to the citation Pearson told officers the meth “should be fake and it wasn’t suppose to be the real stuff.” Officers also found a plastic bag with a large amount of methamphetamine, and they also uncovered syringes, a meth pipe, several plastic baggies, money, scales and a revolver.

Pearson told troopers he did not manufacture methamphetamine and had no idea how to make it, however, troopers found in Pearson’s bedroom a hot plate, batteries, funnel, Coleman fuel and a torch, items used in making methamphetamine.

Pearson is lodged at the Madison County Detention Center on charges of first offense first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
